Q. What happens after I place an order for microBIZ SmartStart?
After placing an order by clicking on the Buy Now button the following things happen:
- Your payment is processed by PayPal - you may pay using either your PayPal account or a credit card (Mastercard / Visa)
- Your domain name, hosting account and email accounts will be created and configured. If you have a pre-existing domain name you will be contacted for the access details to your domain management account.
- The website will be uploaded and configured.
- The contact form will be created.
- Other features such as the News, Forum and Gallery will be enabled as required.
- You will be notified that your site is ready for you to add content.
Q. I don't wish to use PayPal. Are there other payment options?
Yes. Simply phone on 03 9727 1800 and pay by credit card.
Q. Can I have a unique branded header designed for my site?
Yes. Dedicated header designs are available based on your logo. There is an additional cost for this design service - please enquire.
Q. I don't have a logo. Can you design one for me?
Yes. TOSD work closely with a graphic designer highly experienced in logo design. Be aware that there is an additional cost for this specialised work that may exceed the cost of your website. A logo is a key business branding element that will be used in all forms of communication and should be regarded as an investment. Please enquire.
Q. How should my logo be supplied?
In jpeg, gif or png format. The resolution should be 150dpi or better. The finished size will be 194px (W) x 95 px (H), however the size that is supplied should be larger than that if possible to allow for cropping.
Q. I like the layout but would like different colours. Is this possible?
Yes. The cost of modifying the basic colours is $50.00 inc GST. Note that this does not include any other design modifications.
Q. Is setting up my website with my preferred theme and colour scheme difficult?
Not at all. Here is the quick 'how to' to give you the idea.
- Browse this site and select your preferred theme from the two that are currently available: '2 Column Theme' and '3 Column Theme'
- Note: If you have a logo that you would like to use then the 3 Column Theme will be the most suitable. The 2 Column Theme will get you going quickly if you do not have a logo and do not want to incur the additional cost of getting one at this stage.
- Browse the colour options available for your preferred theme and take note of its code. e.g. you may decide on 3col_03, one of the green colour schemes available for the 3 Column Theme.
- Access admin/tools/setup and set the template to '3col_03'.
- From that point on, every page you create will automatically feature your preferred default Theme. Easy!
Q. Can I use one theme for my whole site, but select different colour schemes for certain pages?
Yes, when you first create a new page the default colour scheme will be assigned, however you can override this at will by simply selecting the required colour scheme from a pull down list.
Q. I would like a different layout and/or additional functionality. Is this possible?
Not with a microBIZ SmartStart website solution, however if you have specific design requirements please contact TOSD as there are many alternatives available.
Q. Are there any ongoing monthly fees associated with a microBIZ SmartStart website?
No. Hosting is an annual renewal ($149.00 inc GST), domain names are bi-annual ($60.00 inc GST).
