When a customer places an order the Online Shop administrator is notified by email. In addition, if the order was placed with a credit card, a further email is sent to the administrator with the centre 8 digits only. The remaining credit card details are securely stored (and encrypted) in the database. The following steps outline how to process an order.
  • Enter your domain name in your browser followed by "/admin" e.g. www.hellodolly.com.au/admin
  • Enter your User name and Password when prompted.
  • Click [Customers/Orders] from the Admin menu.
  • The orders list, most recent at the top, will be displayed.
Note: unprocessed orders are set to "Pending" by default.
  • To process an order click once on the customer's name to highlight the row then click [edit].
  • Toward the top of the screen the credit card details will be displayed if that is the chosen payment method. When you enter the number into your offline EFTPOS terminal simply replace "XXXXXXXX" with the 8 digits that were emailed to you to form the complete 16 digit number.
Security TIP: after you have successfully processed the transaction  immediately delete the email you received with the centre 8 digits.
  • At the bottom of the screen you will find buttons to print either an invoice or packing slip.
  • To keep your customer updated regarding the status of their order enter a comment in the box, roll the "Pending" status over to "Processing" or "Despatched", as appropriate then click [update] to send them an email after first ensuring that the [notify customer] and [append comments] boxes are both checked.
Note: the revised order status will also be available to your customer should they check their account order history online.
